Are you ready for Jesus to come back?

• He is coming to refine the Church. 

• He has expectations for the Church.

• You have to keep yourself separate from the world.

• It's a lot easier to examine yourself and adjust your action now, than to have God say, "that is enough of that behavior". 

• God does correct His people. 

  • There is a judgement coming and we will have to answer for every deed​

• The Second Coming is a judgement and for some, might not be as pleasant as they might think. 

• Do you have a healthy fear of God?

  • He is a God of Justice​

Every hardship we face is the Lord refining us. As we go through our lives and allow ourselves to be refined, we come out better for it.

Malachi 2:17-3:6

 You have wearied the Lord with your words.

Yet you ask, “How have we wearied him?”

When you say, “Everyone who does what is evil is good in the Lord’s sight, and he is delighted with them, or else where is the God of justice?”

3 “See, I am going to send my messenger, and he will clear the way before me. Then the Lord you seek will suddenly come to his temple, the Messenger of the covenant you delight in—see, he is coming,” says the Lord of Armies. 2 But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will be able to stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire and like launderer’s bleach. 3 He will be like a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver.Then they will present offerings to the Lord in righteousness. 4 And the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will please the Lord as in days of old and years gone by.

5 “I will come to you in judgment, and I will be ready to witness against sorcerers and adulterers; against those who swear falsely; against those who oppress the hired worker, the widow, and the fatherless; and against those who deny justice to the resident alien. They do not fear me,” says the Lord of Armies. 6 “Because I, the Lord, have not changed, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.

Exodus 17:7

He named the place Massah and Meribahbecause the Israelites complained, and because they tested the Lord, saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

1 Peter 4:17

For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household,and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?

Amos 5:18-19

Woe to you who long for the day of the Lord!

What will the day of the Lord be for you?

It will be darkness and not light.

19 It will be like a man who flees from a lion

only to have a bear confront him.

He goes home and rests his hand against the wall

only to have a snake bite him.
