Jesus loves you and so do we
Pastor's Sunday Sermon
September 22, 2024

Identity -Who we are and Who's we are?

-
What are you known as? What are you known for? Not only by others but according to ourselves.
-
If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have been given instructions in the form of the Bible. We just have to decide to do it, and be it.
-
A few things to help you figure out your identity.
-
1. We are created in God's image (Genesis 1:27)
-
2. You have been changed by His redeeming blood (2 Corinthians 5:17)
-
3. You are part of God's family (John 1:13, 1 John 3:1)
-
4. You are not alone, God has sent us His Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9)
-
-
The results of these things:
-
1. A freedom from condemnation (Romans 8:1)
-
2. A renewed sense of purpose (Ephesians 2:10, Galatians 2:20)
-
-
We are a part of the Family of God. Our lives are filled with the goals of our Heavenly kingdom. Examine who you are and make the decision to show who you are to the world.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man
in his own image;
he created him in the image of God;
he created them male and female.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has[a] come!

John 1:13
who were born, not of natural descent,[a] or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man,[b] but of God.
1 John 3:1
See what great love[a] the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children—and we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know him.

Romans 8:9
You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body,[a] I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
