Happy Father's Day

• There are lots of fathers in the Bible. But almost all of them are flawed. The only great father in the Bible is our Holy Father.

• There are lots of responsibilities to being a father.

  • Forgiving  

  • Armor of God (Protect your family)

  • Teacher

  • Helper

  • Everlasting

  • Respected

• You are the spiritual leader in your home, you set the example. Do not think that it is someone else's responsibility. You set the stage of what is acceptable behavior and actions. No is perfect though, and there will be mistakes. But it is our duty to acknowledge them and correct them. Have your priorities straight.

• Love your God, then love your wife, and then you love your children. Do this and everything else should fall in place.

 

Deuteronomy 6:6-8

​ These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. 7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol[a] on your forehead.[b]
