Rich Relationship - God's Promises
-
God doesn't make promises lightly, His promises are rock solid and He makes them because He loves us. If we are faithful we can have full insurance that He will deliver. Numbers 23:19
-
Some examples:
-
His promise to bless Abraham Genesis 12:2-3, John 8:56
-
He will never abandon us Leviticus 26:12-13
-
As long as we continue to seek Him Deuteronomy 4:7 & 29 Psalms 121, 1 Chronicles 16:34, 2 Chronicles 7:14
-
He promises us good when we obey and punishment when we disobey Deuteronomy 30:15-18, Psalms 123
-
He promises us salvation Romans 1:16-17, John 3:16
-
He promises us comfort 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Romans 8:28
-
He promises us a better place to go 1 Peter 1:4
-
He does all this through Christ Ephesians 1:3
-
-
All of these promises and more are available to all of us, all we have to do is develop that rich relationship with God, and He will give it all to you.

Genesis 12:2-3
I will make you into a great nation,
I will bless you,
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
I will curse anyone who treats you with contempt,
and all the peoples on earth
will be blessed[a] through you.[b]

John 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; he saw it and was glad.”

Leviticus 26:12-13
I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. 13 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, so that you would no longer be their slaves. I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to live in freedom.[a]

Deuteronomy 4:7 & 29
7 For what great nation is there that has a god near to it as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call to him? 29 But from there, you will search for the Lord your God, and you will find him when you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.
Psalms 121
I lift my eyes toward the mountains.
Where will my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to slip;
your Protector will not slumber.
4 Indeed, the Protector of Israel
does not slumber or sleep.
5 The Lord protects you;
the Lord is a shelter right by your side.[a]
6 The sun will not strike you by day
or the moon by night.
7 The Lord will protect you from all harm;
he will protect your life.
8 The Lord will protect your coming and going
both now and forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his faithful love endures forever.

2 Chronicles 7:14
and my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Deuteronomy 30:15-18
See, today I have set before you life and prosperity, death and adversity. 16 For[a] I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live[b] and multiply, and the Lord your God may bless you in the land you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you do not listen and you are led astray to bow in worship to other gods and serve them, 18 I tell you today that you will certainly perish and will not prolong your days in the land you are entering to possess across the Jordan.

Psalms 123
I lift my eyes to you,
the one enthroned in heaven.
2 Like a servant’s eyes on his master’s hand,
like a servant girl’s eyes on her mistress’s hand,
so our eyes are on the Lord our God
until he shows us favor.
3 Show us favor, Lord, show us favor,
for we’ve had more than enough contempt.
4 We’ve had more than enough
scorn from the arrogant
and contempt from the proud.

Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel,[a] because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith,[b] just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.[c][d]

John 3:16
For God loved the world in this way:[a] He gave[b] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our affliction,[a] so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Romans 8:28
We know that all things work together[a] for the good[b] of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

1 Peter 1:4
and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ.
