Week 4 of the Advent

  • Love, or Adoration

  • Prophecy leads to hope, hope leads to joy, and joy leads to love.

  • It not necessarily our love for each other, or our love of God. It is about God's love for us!

  • John 3:16-18 God so loved the world

  • Psalms 86:15 abounding faithful love

  • Psalms 136:26 His love endures forever

  • Romans 8:37-39 we cannot be separated from His love.

Today's Passages:

John 3:16-18

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

Psalms 86:15

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Psalms 136:26

Give thanks to the God of heaven.
His love endures forever.

Romans 8:37-39

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
